Peperomia prostrata
The amazing, quirky and characteristic string of turtles plant is one of my personal favorites! The foliage alone makes these an eye catching addition to any home and they are easy care when you get them placed right too. Add to that the fact they trail and your onto a winning plant. Native to the brazilian rainforest and thriving in warm climates but adaptable to average household conditions you can see why it's a popular plant for houseplant collections and apartment jungles worldwide.
How to care for your Turtles -
Water: Only water it's dry and very little in winter. Never leave it standing in water and try to let it soak from the bottom up. (they are great for terrariums too!)
Light: They do well in bright light and can tolerate some full sun. Low light is a no no and can cause leggy growth and loss of leaves.
Humidity: Fine in humidity but standard house conditions will also be fine.
Temperature: They love the warmth, nothing below 8'c.
