Maranta
Commonly known as a prayer plant, the Maranta is native to tropical Central and South America. They love to trail but can also be grown up a cane. Not only do they have striking leaves but they flower too.
How to care for your Maranta
Water: Watering about once a week and then allowing to dry to about half way down is best.
Light: Maranta grow best in bright light, but will tolerate shade. If exposed to direct light, their leaves will fade in colour intensity and often develop blotches or patches.
Humidity: Brown leaf tips indicate that humidity is too low, they love a mist or a bathroom and prefer rain water.
Temperature: They enjoy warmth, about 20 degrees C.
